And More Was...... An Introduction

And More Was is the name of my second novel. I am now writing my third witch is called Elizabeth Boyd. The first book is called Farewell My Seasick and before that two plays, The Bellows and Sea Level. The reason I bring this up? Nobody has read them, that's why. I made a record with my group called The Remorse Duo. Again, unheard. Over the course of our time together, I will publish parts of my stories and experts from all my books here for anyone to read. If you are at all interested in the music that my mind creates please feel free to listen on itunes or CD baby or even our Bandcamp page for that matter and The Bellows and Sea Level can be Googled under my name, Philip V. Coombs where you can find several outlets that will give you a quick read. I also write Jazz reviews for the Freejazzblog.org, a very well respected source of information, opinion and resources for creative music manifesting itself in the genres of Avant-Gaurd or Free Jazz. Please visit them and listen with open ears. Well that's enough for now but I will update as often as I can in hopes of sharing this mid life, creative, new father (I'll get to that later), musical, responsible, writerly, realist, journey who is as of today, 187 days away from being unemployed. (More on that later as well.)

Music

Looks like this will be the album cover for the next The Remorse Duo recording. Well some incarnation of this image at least highlighting the 2 in the shot. It is of a garbage dumpster that was parked at the back of the venue where we work.
In my head the concept for this album has changed to many times. I will be happy to just get in the studio again. I will let the music happen on its own then. It is this conceptual jumpiness that pushed me to start this blog in order to track my own thought processes and hold myself responsible for their completion.
